The Democratic presidential primary in Florida has been a mess. Now the taxpayers may be called on to pay for the party’s actions.

Last year, the Florida legislature decided to move the state’s presidential primary to January 29, 2008 - too early for party rules. The Republicans decided to punish the state by taking away half of its delegates at the convention. The Democrats decided to take away all of the state’s delegates and to prohibit campaigning here. The Jacksonville Jaguars added a defensive tackle to the roster today. They signed unrestricted free agent Jimmy Kennedy, who spent last year with the Broncos and Bears. Kennedy was a first round pick of the St Louis Rams in 2003. He signed a veteran’s minimum contract with a $50,000 signing bonus.

The Jacksonville Jaguars waived offensive guard Chris Naeole today Naeole had been the starting right guard for the team from the time he arrived in 2002 until he was injured last year in a game against the New Orleans Saints. He had come to the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent from the Saints. He started all 87-games he played for Jacksonville.
