Jacksonville Humane Society rebuilding

It was one year ago that the Jacksonville Humane Society suffered a terrible fire that destroyed most of it’s facility on Beach Boulevard. Now, the Society has announced a $12-million fundraising project to build a state-of-the-art facility.

CSX train derails

Crews are cleaning up after a CSX train derailed yesterday in western New York state. 20-cars carrying coal left the tracks in Palmyra. No one was hurt.
CSX officials say a faulty axle may have caused the accident.
